52

Taiji Zen is a lifestyle company founded by Jet Li and Jack Ma with the mission of spreading “Health and Happiness for All” through a balance of physical wellness and mental fitness – the Taiji Zen lifestyle.

We live in a diverse world with different ethnicities, different nations, different languages and different cultures.  But we are all part of the same human family, and we have the same desire for health and happiness.

In today’s always-on, hyper-connected, technologically advanced world, we seem to find ourselves increasingly short on time and high on stress.  Ever seeking speed and expediency, we ignore the rising pressure on our bodies and minds, and unconsciously drift more and more out of balance.

Ancient Chinese culture offers a different perspective based on the philosophy of Taiji (also spelled T'ai Chi, or 太极 / 太極). Simply put, everything has two sides – yin and yang, which form part of an all-encompassing whole.  Fast and slow, hard and soft, dark and light, motion and stillness…all must exist in balance.

Rooted in this traditional wisdom, Taiji Zen seeks to inspire and enable a modern, balanced lifestyle through a suite of unique training programs and products.  Our core curriculum includes both martial arts intensive programs, as well more modern fitness-styled workout experiences.

We hope they help bring you greater balance, health and happiness!

any difference between Lee & Li?

        • /

        • Li is the correct one.

        • Depends on the Chinese character that Li represents. For surnames, more often than not is the same Chinese character.

          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Li_(surname_%E6%9D%8E)

        • obviously you know little about Chinese.

      • Jet Li is getting old

OMG he is, can't believe how much he has aged these days. We don't need taichi for work & life balance, we need some frikin time off.
        1+ vote for the video.

How much does the first class normally cost?

  • So much rhyming @_@

  • I am not convinced. What are the chances you can master taiji just by following online videos??

  • hmm sounds like celebrities trading in on their reps for some quick cash :P
some things are best learn't from proper instruction as it is very hard for a novice to tell if they are doing something incorrectly if they just follow a video.

    Not a deal.
1 - You can not properly learn Tai Ji or similar arts over the internet.
2 - Most martial arts will give you the first lesson free and it will be better as you are seeing your teacher in person, not a pre recorded video.

    • I think it's good introduction for those who are unaware. First class free is better than no class free. The 3 years course is cheap, I think around $300 - not that I am recommending it.

  • So basically it's neo-orientalist zumba with Jet Li whoring himself as it's friendly celebrity face.

If you feel a burning urge to prance around your living room in your jocks making a t*t of yourself there are plenty of very similar videos available for free on youtube. You can try this for example:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIOHGrYCEJ4

Or just google "I can't face another year like the last one maybe learning something mystical and eastern will get me through January until I decide to start drinking again"

  • Firstly this is not a deal
Secondly, like someone said earlier, what you need is some freaking time off work and spend it however way you want
Learn a new hobby, play a sport, meet new friends, reconnect with family etc…are something you should try
