Through Ozbargain post, I ordered 3 dick smith camera bag on special for Click and collect just before Xmas. Have reservation number but no contact from DS. Went to store but store has extremely long queue on Xmas Eve. Contacted DS by phone after Xmas. Staff quoted Dick Smith now changes owner, due to cost cutting, staff shortages and low wages. so no click and collect order was prepared. No cluck and collect customers were contacted. It was their mistake but too bad. Best can do for me now is $8.00 each. It was around $11 for 3. Others who ordered online had theirs delivered. Does anyone share the same experience with DS? Waste of time to click and collect in DS.
JB hifi has much better service and return policy. Few times JB honors the deal posted in OZbargain despite shortage of stock - eg window surface rt and sony power bank. In contrast, many visit to DS I can see staff argues with customers. Now DS does not return or refund outside statutory requirement.
Dick just got WORSE..
Not just click and collect. I ordered some cheap headphones to be delivered. I got a conformation email and the money was paid but after a few weeks and no delivery. I rang them and they said oops sorry no stock and we forgot to notify you or do anything with your order. In the end the only option was to get a refund and forget about it.
