Good Deals on Canon DSLR EOS 50D?

Anyone know where I might be able to get a good deal on a Canon EOS 50D. I don't mind if the deal is with or without lenses as I can always get the lenses myself if it is without.

Thanks!

  • Well you can either go with this
    https://www.camerasdirect.com.au/index.php/cameras/dslr-came…

    or this
    http://www.digitalcamerawarehouse.com.au/prod5401.htm

First one (Cameras Direct) I can vouch for. Their service and prices are great. The second item whilst more expensive comes with a 3 yr warranty.

It's a good camera too. A mate has one. But the 5D Mk2 was too tempting for me. :p

  • I was considering the 5D Mk2 as well but it is just out of my price range.

Thanks for the links! Much appreciated. I've been looking for an upgrade to my old Fujifilm S5500 for a long time and I think it is finally time for me to upgrade now.

  • Have a look at the following website, it seem to have good prices.
    http://www.einfotech.com.au/shop/index.php?cName=digital-cam…
I haven't deal with them before and not sure what's their delivery charges are like.

  • The only thing I don't like about einfotech.com.au is that it is imported stock. I've had bad experience (not from them) buying imported electronic goods where I had to return it for a warranty claim and took 3 months for it to be resolved. Brief history is: I bought something, it arrived faulty. Sent it back but took 3 months before I got it back. By that time, I could have bought the same product from a local shop for even cheaper as the price of it has dropped by about 20% in that 3 months. That product cost me around $1000 so 20% is not a negligible amount.

  • ooh.. that's no good!
The citiwide-online seem to have good prices too. It didn't mention the goods are imported but the delivery charge are high thou. Again, I haven't deal with them before.

Edit: Just found out their stocks are imported as well.
