Hi folks. I didn't post this as a bargain as I think there is limited stock available.
I've been looking for a good prime lens for my Sony NEX-F3 for a little while but the Sony lenses are so damned expensive. I did another Google search yesterday and the above lens came up at Videopro and Bing Lee for $198 and $199 respectively. Videopro have free shipping until 31 Jan but unfortunately have no stock and won't have stock until end Feb. Clicking the Bing Lee link takes you to a 'page not found' on their website. I thought I'd call them to check anyway and they have a few in stock that can be ordered over the phone. Delivery to Perth is $15. Not sure about other locations but I expect $15 is the most you'd pay.
The next cheapest was about $253 + $49 shipping from Camera Paradise, which is imported grey market stock. The RRP for the lens is $399 and you won't find it for much less than that from a local retailer selling Australian stock.
This is a highly regarded lens (do a search) and the Bing Lee price is about as cheap as you'll ever find it. There are silver and black versions of this lens. I prefer the black, which is what I bought from Bing Lee. I don't know if they have the silver.
If you're a NEX camera owner after a prime lens, this is a cracker of a deal.
I called Bing Lee but they have advised they don't have any online stock. :(
