I have set that the deal expires in 2 weeks however the guy I spoke to at Bunnings said that basically whatever stock is what they will have, it was a special order / promo and they will not be getting any more back in. Don't expect Sutton quality for this price but cheapest 99 piece drill set that I could find anywhere else included ebay was about $45.

Enjoy

  • Is this nation wide or only the bunnings you went to? Which bunnings did you see these at, and how many were in stock?

    • As far as I'm aware it should be nation wide, it was in one of their catalogs but I can't find the catalog at the moment. I got mine from the Toowoomba Qld 4350 store and they still had heaps, like 30+ from a guess

      • Thanks for that! Seems it weighs 1.52kg… which makes that $16.23 per Kg. This is a good bargain indeed. Will go to my local and see if I can find a pack. Cheers OP!

  • hmmm, mostly small drill bits. nearly as cheap as ones from china

    • +2

      mostly small drill bits.

Thats what you want! The small ones break and wear out more easily.

    • They ARE the cheap ones from China. Just that they get posted to bunnings first.

Craftright / Ozito = Bunning's cheapest line, lowest quality chinese stuff.

I'm not saying this isn't a good deal. I know I always need plenty of small drill bits. I'll probably pick up a pack.

    I got 99 problems but a bit ain't one

  • aldi had some drillbit a few weeks ago. I saw a few left over on the weekend. theyre probably further marked down now too

  • Do these drill bits drill through brick? I'm looking for one and a single drill bit hat did that cost me about $5. I figure that if this set drills through brick then I might as well buy one.

  • I have a set of these.- i recommend them.
I moved my tin shed 6 months ago and had to drill 400 holes or so for pot-rivets. broke most of the pot rivet hole size drill bits. mostly because I was impatient and had a lot of drill bits available so I was careless.

I used the larger ones to drill in to concrete with little problem -slow going and reduces the life span of the drill bit - best to get masonry bits if you're doing many holes.

    haven't tried brick.

they go into steel pretty well.

just use the bits smartly (drill straight on and with sideways pressure).

for the price and the quantity you can't go wrong - buy them.

    • What is holding you back from +1 vote?

      • +2

Probably the magical Pot Rivets…I hear they are much more fun than conventional Pop rivets.

      • What is holding you back from +1 vote?

        WayneSpoon killed my Pa.

        actually, just forgot to.

I popped down to my local Bunnings at 7am. They didn't have any. I drilled them about false advertising, and walked out feeling screwed.

    • Are you sure you popped down to Bunnings? Not potted down to Bunnings?

  • Needed a hex driver and some spade bits, so went for this 57 piece set for $9.95:

Used one of the drill bits last night, and was impressed with the quality for the price :)

Edit: Actually, this one looks decent too:
