I have a Nexus 5 on the Virgin mobile network. I cant send or receive MMS.

Ive called virgin, they say they dont support the phone, but can see on other forums that there is a fix. Im not overly tech savvy, just wondered if anyone out there could help. I believe it has something to do with the APN settings?

Thanks in advance!!

If your APN settings are incorrect you might not be able to send MMS. This site has the correct APN settings on it.

You should be able to enter them by going into the settings app then click the more button under the Wireless heading then Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.
That might be slightly different on your phone though.

  • You need to go Settings -> More… (under wireless & Networks) -> Mobile Networks -> Access Point Names.

Here you need to add the virgin apn with the correct settings.

    A quick google shows:

Hope that helps. Sometimes you need to set them a few times before you hit the correct one. My Sony Xperia has an option under the 'Xperia' menu in settings where you can 'download settings for internet and MMS' and it sets it automatically. I dont know if the nexus has the same option somewhere.
