Joyce Mayne Western Digital 'Elements' 3TB Portable Hard Drive $98 - Misprint?

I just had a look at the latest catalogue and it advertises WD 'Elements' 3TB Portable Hard Drive for $98.

Now I don't think this product even exists — the Elements portable range maxes out at 2TB.

They possibly meant a desktop hard drive, which sells for $125 at PC Case Gear:

or $178 at JB Hifi

So I guess it is still a bargain if it's a 3.5" desktop drive.

  • Is the catalogue online? If so, link please? Thanks.

  • It's a "Back to School" catalogue that is not yet listed at http://www.joycemayne.com.au/current-catalogues.html

EDIT: Here is a photo of the catalogue:

  • I've quite a few of their external (i.e. powered) 2TB drives and the case is identical to those so I'm guessing it's a 3.5" externally powered unit. Still, good price for that.

  • It's clearly a 3.5" drive from the picture, and searching the model number reveals:

So, it's still a pretty decent price, even for a 3TB 3.5" USB 2.0 HDD!

    bah

    would HN honour this?

  • Tried to get one of these this morning. As expected they are the desktop drives which didn't bother me, but they weren't $98. $137 the girl working there told me. There was a correction on the shelf saying they weren't the portable drives but I didn't see if it said anything about the price. Running on zero sleep ATM.
