Photo Booth Hire

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking to hire a photo booth for a wedding in March and I was wondering if anyone's had any experience or recommendations?

I saw some deals on the group buying websites (I think it was Scoopon) a few weeks ago but unfortunately I missed out.

I know that there are quite a number of them out there but if anyone has any recommendations, then I'd rather start with those ones first. I'm located in Melbourne south eastern suburbs and the duration is 5 to 6 hours.

Thanks in advance.

Jeri

  • I've been looking at options for business purposes and you can actually do it on the cheap with an iPad, a tripod and a case that's compatible with the tripod. Check out http://www.simpleboothapp.com/ or http://www.weddingboothapp.com/

Add a compatible printer and guests can leave with a souvenir too.

    • You can also get portable green screens (or just buy fabric in "chromakey green") for the backdrop. Lighting is important though. The nice thing about the booths is that they're all self-contained and it's one less thing to worry about. Is there someone in the wedding party who can take responsibility for a DIY one if you go that route? Some teenagers you can get to take photos with a Polaroid (or as above, print with a cheap printer?)

  • I know a company and their very competitive with great quality camera, prints etc. They're called Photo Evidence & you can call Matt on 0400 020 688. Tell him Tanya & Coen recommended him & he'll do you an even better deal!

  • Hey Jeri,

I run a photo booth company called http://www.emmaj.com.au give me a call on the office number 03 9017 4680 and I will look after you with a great deal similar to the scoopon one if not better.

    Speak soon,

    Thanks

    Nathan

  • Thanks everyone. I'm so glad that I posted this as I would've never known all these myself if I just did a Google search. I think I will still go with a professional booth first, unless the cost is too much. The DIY option sounds really good but I'm afraid with this rowdy wedding party, it might not be a good idea. We hosted a NYE party at our place and it was a mess afterwards. :)

    Thanks again.

  • Hi Jerrizhao,

Was just browsing through the site and saw your post on Photobooths. I recently saw my friend on Facebook give these guys a really good review on their services. I'll copy and paste it for you

    John H. Gonzaga
Thank you Snap-Box for the amazing service you provided at Kathy Gonzaga's 'Around the World' Party.

Not only were the photos of the highest quality, but the photo booth certainly became the life of the party.

Your professionalism and organisation were impeccable and everything ran smoothly and beyond our own expectations.

    Snap-Box comes highly recommended.

    Great doing business with you.

Here's a link to their page Jerrizhao, www.facebook.com/snapboxteam. Just asked my friend on Facebook and he said their wedding packages are good deals too.

    All the best mate.

  • Just to add to your list, I've worked with a guy called Tony Pham. He's a wedding photographer but also does photo booth leasing. Dont want to market here, but if you're stull searching, drop him an email or google him
