Buying a replica sword from Queensland to Western Australia, any things I should know?

Hey guys, My dad just watched Kill Bill and hes been really fond of the Hatori Hanzo swords they have in the movie, So I decided to buy a replica sword, quick Ebay search and I found one from Queensland.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Movie-Replica-Kill-Bill-Bills-Swo…

Measurements are as follows:

Blade Length : 68cm

Handle Length : 28cm

Overall Length : 99cm

Blade Width : 2.6cm

So is there any import laws or anything?
I didnt think so, since its only within Australia, but I just want to make sure.

PS.. Im 18+ so I can leaglly buy it from Ebay.

You won't have a problem (since you do not live in Victoria).

In fact, single edge swords and katana aren't even subject to import control.

  • Australian federal import laws allow katanas, even real ones. Just check your state laws, not sure about WA.

  • Thanks for the replies.
Yea I looked it up and seemed that Victoria is pretty tough against it.
    WA isnt.
