Anybody has experience with food/meat slicer?

I'm considering to buy a deli/food/meat slicer, those types with a round blade, a quick search found that Chef's Choice by EdgeCraft has some positive reviews, but I'm unable to find them on many local websites. Does anyone have any experience with them that can make a recommendation?

I found a Eurolab one on dealsdirect but seems like it's good for ham/cheese whereas I'm looking for something that can slice semi frozen meat?

Cheers

They are very handy for feeding trapped cats:

    • …..and also for repairing high heeled shoes

    • That'd be a reason NOT to get them lol

  • I have one, they are the best.

    • What brand/model did you get?

      • Don't know. Its in the back of the cupboard. I'm too lazy to fight off cascading blenders, pots, pans and guillotines to get it out and use it :(

Not sure if those brands are commercial or for home use, but check out the commercial units first. A few years ago, my wife & I found a local kitchen supplies store selling commercial units for a similar price to the home ones - but they were far more robust. I believe the brand was "Brice". Some of those places sell second hand ones too = probably cheaper again.

    • Cool thanks for that
