Thinking of getting one of these http://www.scoopon.com.au/deals/52441/australia-wide-24-7-ro… and was wondering if any of you who had purchased it previously have used it yet and have any comments to their reliability? Have read previous deals about them so have read the warnings but noone had a direct experience with them at that point…

They are double/triple the price..
This has been posted a few times still no reviews however the company gives us reasons to be skeptical, they are newly registered, the used car warranties (related company) were never paid out for nearly anything, their capability and fleet are unknown and seem to be outsourced to another fleet. Any package is a gamble but to be safe you should start with 1 year and test them. I'm not sure on consumer protection and regulations on insurance companies if they collapse.
I would consider if your prepared to accept a loss before purchase and whether you have the guts to pursue legal action if they refuse service.
Looking at their website, they only cover the basics. Most calls would probably be for those but if you need a mechanical repair or temp fix to get you home or to a mechanic i doubt this lot would be able to help you. If you need more than the basics you are better off with one of the State Road clubs ie. RACQ, NRMA, RACV which ever applies. Not a lot more exp but give a lot more assurance and peace of mind.
