Oral-B Electric Toothbrush

Hi everybody,

I would like to purchase an electric toothbrush & ive come across 2 which i really like the features they have. The Oral-B IQ5000 or the new black 7000. The only difference i can see between the two is that the 7000 comes with a tongue cleaner, carry case & comes in black, but the cheapest price ive found for the 7000 is $220 or so from ShaverShop. Whereas the cheapest price ive come across for the 5000 is $140 from ShaverShop aswell.

Does anybody know anywhere else that would have either the 5000 or 7000 for cheaper?

Thanks in advance,

Abraham

I'm sure you can find the dual IQ5000 for around $169 at Myers.

For $29 more you get an additional electric toothbrush… handy for a backup or partner or sell it on eBay?

    • I live on my own & have no need for the extra toothbrush as i live on my own, however can see that i could use it as a backup.

  • Oral b single ones were very cheap in the bargain bins near Harvey Norman upper Mt Gravatt yesterday. $29 maybe?

    • I'm in VIC so I'm unsure what is in the bargain bin, but I'm pretty sure that the IQ5000 or 7000 models wont be in there especially for that price

No worries Abz300 I saw that you were in Melbourne, but Many Ozbargainers have similar needs when they look at a post, not everyone is after a premium product, and not everyone is based in Melbourne. Some may be after a drastically reduced bargain. Some may think they want premium and buy bargain instead after education. Trying to help the wider community. :)

        • I totally understand & my apologies if i sounded ungrateful for your information. I did ask my dentist & some of my friends have the IQ5000 & hence why i wanted it. Then i came across the IQ7000 which has 2 extra features which i dont think justifies the extra $$ it costs, but if its cheap enough then i wouldnt mind getting it. I prefer to find a bargain on the IQ5000 which I'm hoping something will come up soon.

Thought I'd pipe-in with a review of the $29 one. I bought the least expensive brush at Rick Hart in 2010. It's likely the same model you saw at HN.

My daughter has used it ever since & only recently did it die- & only from a broken power-on button.

Not bad lasting 4 years, used at least twice a day? She also uses it on her retainers…

      FYI

  • After reading all the post, decided to go grab the IQ7000 Black

    Checked the shavershop website $229

Walked in store, they said it's on sale down to $199

    I'm a happy man

Plenty in stock at highpoint if your after the IQ7000 Black

  • If you price match this at Myer, they have a $50 cashback from Oral b unsure if they will match because of the cash back though
