Games for iMac

Hey guys, recently my PC broke down and since I'm a heavy photo/video editor and only a moderate gamer i thought i would make the change and spend some $$$ to buy a mac as i loved the look of the 27" iMac.

Long story short. After leaving PC i have realised i have had to part with my favourite FPS game BF3, i've done some research and know that you can run Windows on Mac etc but i don't like the idea of it(i know it sounds strange)

So just wondering if anyone else is in my position and has any games they could reccomend that are suitable for mac or games that are available to run on mac. I currently have GRID installed and although it is a nice game it doesnt really impress me as much as NFS games did.

Spec Wise its got the shibang most expensive internals that i could option into it so i hope it won't struggle on games.

Thanks in advance guys ! =D

That's where you're wrong - it will indeed struggle on games. It has a poor GPU and a higher resolution screen.

Since money is no object to you, I recommend just picking up a console of your choice.

    • Oh well if it struggles on games maybe i'll just have to give it up then won't I.

I know its not a Computer built for games and also its not the reason why i bought it and opted for the high end internals, It's main purpose was just to be for video editing and photography.

Thanks for the reply Stickman but this post was to be asking if anyone has games, etc to recommend and not about telling me to buy a console. I hope that doesn't sound too harsh, but yeah i'll keep your comment in mind ;)

      • My comment wasn't to be flame-bait etc either, just realistic. As said above, most AAA games are on Steam, as well as some indies.

Otherwise, Humble Bundle has games usually that are compatible with Mac OS.

Running bootcamp and Windows is also pretty damn easy these days too, so that's always an option.
