  • Any idea what one costs? Trying to figure out if it is worth the 15 minute walk

      $6.99

      • +6

Wow. Red Rooster thinks they can charge $6.99 for a single burger.

How else are they going to keep up with the drop in sales?

        • i presume this is their regular price after the coupon is valid as well so your logic is flawed

        • What? You make zero sense.

Would anyone try getting the free chips and strip with this?

I guess real aussie restaurants use real aussie microwaves?

Calling Red Rooster a restaurant is like calling Miley Cyrus an artist.

meh. that time of year when marketing departments across the country are desperate to make their companies sound like real Aussie patriots

Red rooster is bad. Cant believe they are still open

red rooster may be bad, but like many wholy australian owned enterprises is bad in a way that can only be australian

      • HJ Maccas and KFC is yankee shit

Perhaps, but at least you're more likely to get competent & pleasant staff in any of those three…IME, RR do not headhunt the cream of the crop, if you get my drift! Every time I've gone into a RR store in the last 5 years it's like I'm interrupting a critically important zit-popping session! ;)

  • None of our takeaway chains in Australia are good. Red rooster is probably the worst then McDonalds KFC and HJ. Unfortunately they are all run by incompetent 14 yr olds who couldn't give a crap about service. They need to learn what a fresh chip is, how to salt chips(omg that sounds so pathetic but happens so often) How to throw overcooked or old crap in the bin and not serve it up.

    • Not sure about red rooster interstate but Adelaide red rooster has always been nice. Perfect gravy too and evenly cooked chicken.

      • The Red Rooster at Harbour Town closed :(

Red Rooster is my fav of the chains we have. It still resembles food to me.

Dealing with the snotty 12 year olds and the power crazed 14yo duty managers is painfull.

The worst part is always being pushed into buying what you don't want.

For all chains the individual menu items are overpriced to make the 'deals' look better. If you don't want 6 gravys 2 sauces and 4 family chips with your chicken wing then that is just tough.

Bugs the crap outa me than many don't display the full menu only the 'specials' board.

      • +4

I don't mind them as well. What got me was 2x upsized meals for $25.95!! I can easily find a sit down restaurant that's cheaper!

As the uncle of a 16yo who worked at RR around the corner when he was 14, he confirmed that YOU DO NOT want to eat there or what happens to food.

I think it is testament to that particular RR that I was in Malaysia and Cambodia for a week eating spicy food (including beetles in Cambodia). I had RR 3 days after I got back and had some of the worst food poisoning of my life.

      Still, free burger … ;)

Just went halves in this deal with a coworker. Hands down the worst burger I've had for years. It's got that bbq sauce and mayo as well so it's so sweet it'll make your head spin (Reddies trying to be KFC these days?). Looks big when you unwrap it but it's all shredded iceberg. Chicken patty is tasteless formed chicken. Coworker took two bites and abandoned it. No beetroot to be seen, probably a mistake by the store. Avoid unless you're already a fan of KFC level sweetness.

    • The worst burger in years ? You might have got a crap one or you haven't eaten a burger in years …

I had it and it was fine. I didn't find the sauce that sweet at all. and the chicken actually tasted like chicken !

      • Must be our differences in taste. And I am a burger fan, believe me.

  • Just got this, nothing mindblowing but a decent chicken works burger for only $3.50 each :)

  • +1

I actually liked this, my (two) were good!

  • I tried this as well, not bad for $3.50 each. Thanks OP.
