Photo Chop that easy to use

Hi anyone can point out a good and maybe free windows 7 8 etc program that chops photos? mainly using for chopping items out of photos to transfer to a white background.

    Try Gimp. It's free. I've never used it, I use Photoshop but I often hear about it through design sites:

      GIMP is great, but if you want to do simple tasks and not use advanced editing features I would suggest Paint.NET.
