Myer cancelled almost all of my order from online sale

I recently ordered online it's a great bargain, they offered free delivery in order over $100, some of the stock not available in store so I think might as well order it online, I ordered a few extra stuff that I don't quite needed to make up to over $100 so I can avail the free delivery. Guess what? they cancelled the thing I wanted and they delivery the not so.

I think myer was misleading customer they falsely advertise item so they can't get sales. I mean, putting stuff on sale even they don't have stock and you get this email from them promising the preparing for shipment and then change to back order and at the end cancelled almost everything?

I think ozbargainers should boycott myer to teach them lesson and Also not to post any of their false advertising ads and just to disappoint ozbargainers.

Oh, well lesson learnt from me then. Never trust myer ever again if they have all the rights and consumers has none. Thanks for listening.

    It happens all the time with other businesses as well (such as the good guys gaming sale disaster). I think consumers are being taken a bit lightly nowadays due to many reasons such as ACCC being quite passive. Honestly if myers had a really good sale I would probably still buy from them but otherwise my money goes elsewhere (such as never buying white goods from TGG).

    I thought for Myer their online sale is only 1% of their total sales. Boycotting them will teach them nothing but reinforce their ignorance of online commerce.

    I think op just wanted to let out steam for not getting everything he or she ordered, now that it's out, go buy some more stuff. :)

    According to their T&C, they should have contacted you and given options (partial refund, replace with comparable item, cancel order for full refund).

    The delivery would have still been free though - even though you did not receive the most important part of your order. Would recommend contacting them to explain your disgruntles & ask if they can source the product from one of their stores to re deliver to you.
