Global Game Jam 2014 - Play Games Made in Only 48 Hours

Not many people actually know that over the Australia Day long weekend, thousands of developers ranging from students to experienced game developers all gathered at different locations around the world with the aim of making a game within 48 hours.

This year's theme was "We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are."

You can access and play any of these games for free from the Global Game Jam website. This is a link of games made in Melbourne Australia.

I'll shamelessly plug one of the games made in Melbourne called SCREENCHEAT, a 2-4 player first person shooter where you cannot see your opponents. This is where you have to look at your opponents screen to locate where they are! Its a fun local multiplayer game to play with your friends, but requires 2-4 Xbox 360 (or similar) controllers. You can download the game from here.
