  • None Left ?

    • None Right?

      • Could be right…just found out my local store doesn't have any in stock.

  • How do these compare to the small Webber ?

    • would also be keen to know. I have a feeling the quality would be pretty crummy (but thats just my prejudice against JO stuff) especially if you're used to Weber quality. Might be decent as a backup or side bbq but not as your main one

      • They are simply VERY small… Tiny…

It's kind of a pain to get bunch of heat going for a tiny amount of food. I have used mine once.

        • They are simply VERY small… Tiny…

Then why is it called Big Boy ???

          review at choice seem OK…

        • Don't ask me. Marketting crap.

34cm across. Just something to think about, stuff all room.

        • +2

Cause i think there was an even smaller one as well. Or maybe this one is the small one and the bigger one is called the Gigantic Monolithic Boy 38cm*

*dimensions made up for lols, not actual known specs.

        • Then why is it called Big Boy ???

Probably made of ferrous metal, so I'd say irony! ;)

        • 30min to heat up?!?

pfft… I want to eat today, not tomorrow ;).

        • Maybe he will release a full size BBQ and call it "Big Man"

    • I would take a Weber Go Anywhere over this any day, but you can't complain for $15.

    • er, wonderbar?

      • I just laughed at the poorly translated English captions.

Mate used one of these during camp over the Aussie day weekend. worked well. Ground was a little uneven, but it stood pretty firm.
He used the hot embers from the fire pit to cook food. So there was not hassle or sense of wastage there.

if my local has any left, i'll definitely be getting one.

  • Is this in stock online? I can't seem to add it, nor see the price.

    • nope, in store… but it might not be $15.

OP has not provided any links to the price…

      • They had a heap of them in the local store a week or so ago. And yes, they were $15. Hubby picked one up, and was quite happy with it.

  • saw this one last week, slightly bigger and the legs might not be as strong but still alright

    WOWEEEEEE

    • Jamie "Big Boy" Olivoy!

    34cm?

And that would equate to an actual useable cooking surface area of about 15cm just in middle… enough for 1 steak or a few sausages (ie less than a frypan).

At least a decent frypan would have more even heat.

No wonder its $15….. its junk.

  • This thing is a really well designed and built bbq, but it is tiny. I would only want to pick one up if I can do a gas conversion on it, I have a small cast iron bbq and really u would only use this to cook for a max of 4 people and even then you would want them to be patient

    • really u would only use this to cook for a max of 4 people and even then you would want them to be patient

…or only invite people who've had lap-bands or sleeve gastrectomies! :p

      • +1

Ii don't know 4 people with lap bands, but if the 2 I knew did come then I could probably squeeze it to 5
