Returns policy

My daughter received 3 baby Alives for Xmas. I don't want to ask people for receipts to return their gifts. I was at target the other day & noticed they had the same dolls. I asked the lady at the checkout. She said as it's not a target branded item they will not return without a receipt. Not even for an instore credit.

Does anyone know of stores will will allow me to return. I'm pretty sure they all stock these dolls.

  • We lost a receipt for a toy we legitimately bought at Target but took it back and they still gave us a full refund. It wasn't Target branded and it actually didn't work out of the box. Just take it back and try your luck, you might get lucky. Also try Big W.

  • think about it this way, why should they refund you or give you a gift voucher?
you can't prove you brought it there.. in fact there is a good chance it wasn't brought there..

  • +1

Stores that simply stock the product (or ones that looks similar) are not in the business of bartering or being a place of exchange for goods surplus to your needs.

    Try eBay.com.au

  • I think Kmart used to have no receipt returns.

  • left it abit late havent ya?
most places even if they have refund policy is 30 days

  • Did you pay by cash or card? Proof of purchase current necessarily have to be a receipt.

They don't have to refund you
if no proof of purchase. Maybe just regift or sell.

  • The same thing happened at her 1st birthday & I returned things quite easily then. It seems returns policies have gotten tougher.
