Which device is better for school?? They are both near the same price range ($600) but I'm not sure which one is better… Thanks :)

    My vote goes to the ASUS unit, since it comes with Office, but that's about the only reason. The ATIV comes with a stylus… that may be useful for note-taking if you don't have a keyboard dock.

    I have not played with any of these 2 devices yet, so I can't tell you which is built better.

    Asus uses the newer faster Bay Trail CPU, which is apparently a big improvement over the older one the Samsung uses. My girlfriend used to use a VivoTab Smart which used the same processor as the Samsung, and it is quite slow at times.

    As mentioned above, the ATIV has a big advantage because of the S-pen if needed.

    USB 3 + MSoffice has to be a bonus for ASUS and lighter 1/2 kilo (unless dock is excluded)$529 on staticice
    but SAMSUNG has SSD - $399 from same store

    I don't have experience with the Asus, but I do know there are a lot of issues with the Samsung ATIVs because of the hinges.

      Yeah, search YouTube for the Ativ hinge problem, every time you push back or even touch the screen it connects/disconnects keyboard and makes that ding-dong sound, prices being equal the T100 is the pick
