NAB to UBank BPay transfer

Just moments ago I was going to transfer some money over from my nab accounts to my new ubank account via transfer, but realised that doing it through bpay might be faster? Is it true that the amount will be completed after business hours of the same day? Cheers

  • i think direct deposit transfers are generally quicker. usually they appear in the target account at the end of the same day.

for transfers initiated via bpay, i think it makes an instant journal entry but then you need to wait a couple of days for the money to clear.

  • transfer should be quicker — they are the same bank so the funds should arrive automatically.

bpay is always at least overnight.

  • Direct transfer is not instant, but it only tajes a couple of hours NAB/Ubank for me.

  • This probably won't help you..but we have a ubank home loan, and I have experimented by doing a bpay and also a transfer to it at the same time from our suncorp account to see if they both got there same time…I was surprised to find the bpay got there first :-0

  • Well the funds are showing in my ubank now but has not cleared. Does anyone know what the withdraw limit is with its debit card? also can I use ubank debit card at a nab branch since it has no fees at nab or Redi ATMs.

  • Why don't you call and ask the bank…
