Sony Xperia Z1 + Plan

Hey guys,

Currently in the market for a black Xperia Z1. Would prefer local stock. Cheapest I've found is $599 at various stores.
For the plan, I'd like at least 1gb of data; not too concerned with call and text allowances. The $20 telechoice Kogan deal seems to be the best at the moment.
What do you guys think?

Thanks!

The $18 plan has 1,5gbs and $650 of calls

  • +1

I just signed up for the Virgin $50 plan that has $0 phone payments on the Z1 on a 24 month contract

$500 credit and 2GB isnt bad for $50 a month, plus virgin let you use that credit for international calls and its 4G data. When you also add the free double music ticket on offer, velocity points, and local warranty/support it seemed to stack up for me

Also helps I've got another phone in the family on virgin so unlimited calls to each other as well

Plus a spangley new phone with no large initial $$$ outlay!!!

  • $599 at MSY local stock with 2 years local warranty. Can't beat that.

Rumour has it vaya plans are set to rise soon :x

  • Hm Vaya seems to be the best value at the moment, but I'm a bit concerned about how their data is billed. Plus, I don't really like what they did to live connected.

Virgin also seems like a viable choice right now, but I don't want to be put onto a 24 month contract. That's the only downside, so it's definitely something I'll consider.

@gmail92 I was looking on the msy product page and only saw 1 year warranty. Is it two years Sony warranty? Or one + one msy warranty?

    Thanks for the replies, guys.

  • in the box it has a slip saying australian stock has an additional year of warranty - only valid in australia. sony provided, nothing to do with MSY.

I've been on Vaya and have not had any problems with their data usage with 2Gbs per month.
