Canberra's ACTION buses is having a fare-free day on Saturday 08 February for the National Multicultural Festival.

All travel, regardless if you're going to the festival or not, is free. MyWay cards are not needed.

From the ACTION website:
"If you're heading to the National Multicultural Festival on Saturday 8 February, take the bus! All of ACTION’s bus services will be free on the day.

As the National Multicultural Festival is one of Canberra’s biggest culturally diverse events, extra services will also be running from town centres to the City to enhance the Saturday timetable.

ACTION’s free bus services are the most convenient way to get to and from the festival on the Saturday, so take advantage and enjoy the singing, dancing, cultural activities and delicious treats from all corners of the world.

Even if you aren’t heading to the festival the free bus services will still be available as a special fare free day for all passengers. So remember there won’t be any need to tag on and off if you usually use a MyWay card."
