My experience with cables that display warnings, I've found they charge the device slower, or much slower in some cases, syncing seems to work OK. Just saying, your mileage may vary. (As much as I hate paying apple's exorbitant prices for cables)

I got like 20 of aftermarket ones for iphone 5S and 1 break everyweek!! The head is easily ripped off or if not ripped it just wont charge! All gone now have to buy originals and genuine.
