  • Google "key rock"

    • Which hole do you hide the key in?

  • Have you got a tow bar on your car? There's now some sort of key safe that you can stick inside the hole where the tow tongue goes…thought that might be a bit more versatile.

    • Don't worry, I'll clean the house up for you. No payment needed.

  • I just came across a few of these online on Saturday!

There's a few different styles of rocks available if you want to try and match your rocks. They seem to be around $60.
If they don't find the key in the lock, they could throw the rock at the window.
You wanted to find it in stone? or store?

  • Buy a Brick from Bunnings for $2 and smash it a little so it looks like junk. No-one wants to steal junk bricks. People ignore it so it's a good place to hide your keys. Home and contents insurance might not cover you though.

  • Dollar Stores. I picked up one for about $8

  • Or try this,

Got given this as a present after locking myself out twice two weeks in a row!

A rock? In 2014? How about this?

Unpickable and you'll never be locked out again. Unless it malfunctions — in that case, you're effed.
      Job done. You're welcome.

  • I got one a while ago from one of the elcheapo shops for $2 (I think it was KingKongs, but not sure.)

Their stock seems to change regularly, so they may or may not have them when you go, but it's worth a try before you fork out big $ for one elsewhere.
