What is your all time favourite game and why?

Hey guys. If you could list one or two of your favourite games from your entire life of playing games what would they be and why?

My favourite game of all time was Resident evil 4 on Gamecube. I loved the graphics for that time and the fact parts of previous games were in it but a lot of new places too. It stuck to the original Resident evil style of scary parts like turning a corner to hear those freaky looking creatures but not being able to see them because they climbed up and along walls, opening doors to have dogs smash through glass then chase you and having to go back because you forgot something. . It was a lot of fun and I still play the game to this day :)

Another one of my other favourites is the Mario kart Wii. I only play online mode these days but it's still a lot of fun trying to beat other people in other countries :)and for Nintendo the online mode is pretty dam good.

And my 3rd is Goldeneye 64! Best single player and multiplayer of all time, so many lvls, do many difficulties, so many cheats and so little time! The game had it all and every now and then I get my old 64 out and get Natalya out of the bunker :) I loved the sound of the remake Goldeneye 007 for Wii and it was good but the online mode sucked major and there were hardly any lvls.

  • Shame on you all! Two pages in, and not a solitary mention of;

    • SWOS - Sensible World of Soccer
    • Pirates!
    • Hounded (yes I know none of you kids can remember back to this old Aussie gambling classic)

    There endeth today's history lesson…

  • The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords on GBA ?

  • I would have to say Team Fortress 2.
Since the game was released in 2007, is the game that I, consistently, keep coming back to after playing other games, on both console and PC.

It has 9 different classes, all with differing weapons, and tactics, it is an awesome team based FPS, easily one of the best. It can run on very low graphics requirements and is thoroughly enjoyable everytime I play.

With in game item drops, a full trading and crafting (and store purchase) system, the game continues to grow.

  • +1

Football Manager 08, 09, 10, 11 , 12, 13, 14 still get almost as excited watching those pixels battling it out as I do watching the real games on TV.

Skyrim Massive, awesome in every way

AD&D Baldur's Gate and other Forgotten Realms games great games, rich storylines, massive worlds, great gameplay

Half Life 2 one of the few i have played all the way through. Great story and genuinely creepy in parts

Dawn of War Just the right mix of strategy and Storyline. Awesome intro sequences on a few. I loved the earlier games where you could amass big armies of orcs/marines/eldar etc rather than the later games which were all about customising small groups of characters.
