Mate in Singapore need some urgent fund. Just wondering what would the cheapest way to send money to SG from Aus?

Yep, western union for this. Send around $500, pay $20. No fees on his/her end. Walk into any post office and make the transfer. 5 mnutes later your friend can withdraw it from any western union place in singapore. There are plenty of them there =)
