  • Nice , great for those on low DL limit caps like voda $30 postpaid

  • Thanks but this is always free & should be in the forums

  • +1

SSL sites not included (for obvious reason) - so you can't save any bandwidth browsing OzBargain.

    • that's where all my bandwidth goes ^_^

  • Note: This will send all of your (unencrypted) data through a Google controlled server. Of couse if you are running Chrome/Android you might assume they have access to it anyway, but this definately goes a step further.

It also might be slower for high speed local servers.

  • Just gave it a try, definitely seems faster on a few random pages I tried - local and overseas.

Saved approximately 59% data according to the in-app statistics.

  • hmm, Was not able to find it on my Galaxy S2 with the latest android OS on it (legit installation as in just through the update process so the latest one its supposed to handle).

I find the bandwidth management page in the settings, but not a reduce data usage option inside it.

    • Check Play Store for an update to latest Chrome. Sometimes it requires a manual update.
