Book Description from Amazon:
Everyone loves reading about interesting people, learning about their triumphs and failures and the quirky aspects of otherwise normal lives. In a series of anecdotes, the reader of Ages and Stages: Biographical Vignettes meets or renews their acquaintance with the famous and not-so-famous historical figures whose lives amuse and enlighten us while providing context for our own journey. Whether you enjoy music, literature, studying history, books on leadership, business ethics, or biography you will find these short stories an ideal book for home or travel, since each story stands on its own. You can pick it up, put it down, and always find a good read: something that will amuse or inform you, or prompt you to reflect. Among those whose lives are spotlighted in a short moment or incident in their lives are the great political figures of the twentieth century: Churchill, Stalin, Eisenhower, but also people you have never encountered but who have a moment in their life that will provide you with a brief good read. From Woody Hayes to Catherine Deneuve, from figures in sports, the arts, science, and the world of business, each provides a little episode that illuminates the life and contribution of the people described.

wow, plenty of pages for $0.99

    • That's right. 1105 pages to cover age 3 to age 112. Author is an academian - dean and history professor. Imo, the book is good value and I would pay 99c to buy the book if it's not free.
