  • When did Amazon come to Australia?

  • After completing the amazon store installation I find this app is not free and its usual price. Can some one confirm ?

    • Worked for me.

Try this free one which sounds good too.

Reason may be the having installed the app store from Amazon.com. Try to install app store from amazon.com.au from follwing link.
      http://www.amazon.com.au/gp/mas/get/android/ref=mas_rw_ldg

Make sure your one click address is an AU one.

      Edit:
Best way is to log in to Amazon.com.au and add app into your account.
      Thanks atlas.

      • Try to install app store from amazon.com.au from follwing link.
        http://www.amazon.com.au/gp/mas/get/android/ref=mas_rw_ldg

        Log into Amazom.com.au
Change your 1Click Address into an AU one if you have a Amazon.com account.
Change/edit/add payment method/CC details with an AU address
Go to deal link with PC/tab/phone and have it FREE
Open the Amazon Appstore on your device, then go to Menu → My Apps → Cloud → Refresh to see your newly purchased app to download and install.

        • You can 'buy' the game from the web site as long as you're loggws in without going to all that trouble. Then when you open the Amazon store on your phone it will be in your purchases

        • You need to do the things above only if the deal link doesn't work directly.
Some people may get a message like 'Due to geographical location you cannot buy it' since they have linked an US address with 1 click and/or CC details.

    • You may have installed the Amazon app rather than the Amazon Appstore app. I found the former in the Google play store, but I could only download the Amazon Appstore by going to the Amazon webpage from the above link, trying to purchase and then downloading through the browser (with "Allow installation of apps from unknown sources" checked) with the button that appears.

Once I'd installed the Amazon Appstore app and signed in, the Amazon website allowed me to install it from the above link and it appeared in My Apps in the Amazon Appstore app.

How does one change the [Click + Collect] address?

My 1-click address was already my AU address.

Tried installing the appstore from the .com.au link above.

Searching for the app through the Appstore app didn't show as free.

The only way I could get it was to login via a desktop browser and add the app to my account.

    • I've had the same thing with majority of the Amazon apps, i have to login through the browser to get them free

    • Thanks.
Both one click address and address in the payment method should be an AU adress.
      then it works.

  • thanks OP. 1-click worked for me.

  • how secure is this app if the phone gets stolen?

    • Strong 256-bit AES encryption ok so pretty good!

  • Thanks for sharing. I remember happily paying $20 for the PocketPC version back in the days and have been using 1Password since iOS / Android now. How times have changed.

Downloaded to give it a go to see if it's worth paying another $10 for the PC / OSX version compared to 1Password3 that I'm currently using.

    • Yeah I just repaired a palm vx and was checking the apps, prices like 30 and 50 bucks for crappy basic apps written by someone at home, ridiculous prices but I guess they were smaller markets

  • +1

And I got $1 promotional MP3 credit for "purchasing" this app

    • I got one of those free $1 MP3 credits for picking up another app. Can't imagine i'll ever use it though.
