Poster frames - where to buy?

I bought a poster which is 24"x36" (60.96cm X 91.44cm) and I want to frame it, so that I don't damage the walls with tape or blutack, and to keep it straight.

I don't even know where to start looking for frames. The poster was $5 so I hardly want to be spending $50 on a frame. Where should I be looking? What shops are likely to stock poster frames without a high price? I'm not looking for anything fancy.

Thanks

I've previous found a reasonable one from Target a few months back, it was around $15 for a collage of 6x4 inch photos.

I simply cut the matting board to one large section of around 24x32 inches and it worked out pretty good.

For a nicer finish I spray painted the black frame to a gold/bronze colour

  • OP shops can be a good source.

I had to replace the glass in frame of a large painting. glass shop -$35. op shop -$5

  • Shiploads (Tas) have an almost-suitable 890x585mm frame for ~$18. Can't see why mainland bargain shops don't have similar.

Or, if you're determined to spend even less and don't mind cropping the poster a bit (if say, it has black or white space around the subject).

IKEA have SAXNÄS @ $6.99 700x500mm pic size.
    Thinner bezel? Certainly.
    NYTTJA @ $9.99

Don't want to crop? It'll cost you at IKEA:
    STRÖMBY @ $40 1000x700mm

    • Stay away from the SAXNÄS @ $6.99. Poorly made.
But I have a NYTTJA @ $9.99 and its quite good.
I feel you mintysaurus as the poster I've put in the frame only cost me $3.
