  • I hear good things about the Kogan branded androids, e.g. http://www.kogan.com/au/buy/agora-50-hd-pro-quad-core-smartp…

    • thanks frankyman for prompt response.

difference i found between kogan and link i provided above that kogan phone has 2000mah battery and it has 1.2ghz cpu while on the above link the battery is 3000mah and 1.3ghz cpu and cheaper then kogan.

  • if you know a mate from JBHIFI, get their staff discount on moto g. it brought mine down to $206. otherwise jb is retailing it for $243 but theres lots of stories where people negotiate the price. moto g is the best value phone out there, cant recommend anything else.

    • moto g was negotiated by a mate (not staff) under $220 last week @ JB

  • Looks good phone but I'm after 5inch screen !!

  • Have a look on Whirlpool OP, There's a whole thread on Chinese phones and what's good/where to buy.

  • +1

THL W8+ would probably fit your bill. The battery spec is listed as 2000mah, while competing phones usually boast a higher capacity (as is the case with the Doogee) they may sometimes be just lying about the battery spec.

  • thank you all.. considering my budget and requirement i'm going to buy THL W8+…

thanks all of you for valuable input … always love ozbargain

    • Let us know the best price you find! Im in the same boat and have been looking for a while. Im still considering waiting until mid-March, as new phones will be announced, and the price may drop on these or the new ones will have good intro prices.

      • Ended up folding and bought the Zopo ZP980+ from geekbuying. It'll work on my tpg sim.

  • If you have Chinese friend, maybe u can ask them bring you a phone called "HongMi", just around AUD150 or bit higher, but spec would much better.

    • While the Hongmi may be the best value phone on the market right now, unfortunately it does not support 4g.

It was just released in Singapore with the name "Redmi" last Friday for ~$150 AUD (169 SGD). Apparently the company Xiaomi is known to always be low on stock however, with some believing this model serves as a loss leader.

  • Saw one at woolies yesterday for $50 there abouts.
