I got one last week but the box came OPENED and it was "limited edition" but was missing everything but the game.

Granted I paid for only the standard edition but this is just a warning you may get a LE that's been open..So, it could very well be used and you just wouldn't know it.

    • That's EB for you. Probably was returned within the 7 day return policy.

Feels like dirty trading considering they are selling it brand new when it clearly isn't.

I feel like a complaint is useless and they can always argue they sent me the wrong one.

        • Well its clearly limited lol

      • Don't those returns get sold as pre owned?

        • Nope, sold as new

I'd still pay $4 even if what you described was the standard and not a possible one off…

I don't think neging the deal is right though. If it says brand new has to be brand new. I'm sure its a once off in your case. If you take to EB I bet they swap it right over

    • I've picked up many SE games from EB because of this, best one from memory is the max Payne 3 CE for $37, always expect a opened game if buying instore

  • Great deal. I bought this game from EB last week for the same price but have yet to play it. I still haven't finished the first game in the series.

  • Great price, average game though.

  • I bought it the I the day on ps3 for $4

Came with DLC Code for content and another for comic

    Game also came with poster

  • Duke Nukem Forever New also $4 but preowned $14 lol ….

  • I got this from JB HI FI for ps3 last week $10 for limited edition. Cant go wrong for $4 on 360

    • I picked the limited edition ps3 for $4.
Asked the salesgirl nicely if a new box is available, and she did find one for me.

  • Still haven't used EBgames since this incident:

Though maybe in time I'll go back. I must admit though, I planned to buy more from them before it happened. I have read up on so many similar incidents in the Whirlpool EB thread since then, which is a shame.

I would never buy an unsealed game in any store (much less theirs), but it's quite a different experience when you get a viciously scratched-up game case from their online store and a used disc. It's kind of hard to miss. Anyway, I'm voting this deal up…despite the bad taste I still have in my mouth about ordering 'new' stuff from EB's website. Other orders were perfect, which makes the bad order all the more jarring.

    • What stores do you shop at when you have shopped instore?

      • Nearly all are bought online these days, though I have received factory-sealed product from Kmart in the past (though it was bundled with hardware and the games were retrieved from behind the counter).

  • a free shipping coupon ocde would be nice with this :)

  • damn.. went to EB and as above, back to full price :(
