[STEAM] Orion: Dino Horde ($0.99 USD ONLY!)

140

As per the title, it is only $0.99 USD! It's such a cheap price for a game of this caliber.

From the store page:

'ORION: Dino Horde' is an indie Sci-Fi shooter (FPS/TPS) that seamlessly blends together incredible visuals and addictive combat. It puts you and your friends together into intense, cinematic battles using some of the most incredible weaponry and amazing vehicles in which you must work or compete against one another to accomplish mission objectives, explore giant worlds and survive the devastating Dinosaur Horde.

In addition to the return of the adventurous and survival-based cooperative gameplay, 'ORION: Dino Horde' features intense, retro-inspired and over-the-top PvP competitive action via 'The Arena' in which each mode focuses on a specific homage or battle-type.

Can you survive the Dinosaur Horde?

Also, for the Steam Achievements ravers, it includes 250 Steam Achievements!!!

Enjoy! I found the game to be quite interesting and also, I mean. $0.99 USD is insanely cheap.

This is a really good game for a buck. Had it for 2 days now and think it's worth every penny.

Only issue is the lack of Aussie servers, think there's only 1 dedicated server and it only runs the Gun Game mode.

Yeah, and some of the coding they have. It has "dark spots", in part of the game. But other than that, the concept and multiplayer part is amazing if you get the right server. There are 3rd Party Servers / White Servers apparently.

You too! Not a problem at all. That's what ozbargain is for aha.

  • Its been 99c for about 3 days now
i honestly didnt even think to post it up here.lol

    • It's still a deal… I thought someone had already done it. I mean most people don't pay any attention to the free games because well… they're free for a certain amount of days only. However if it's fun and cheap. People will want to know about it.

      • True
just didnt tick in my mind lol
was more focused on anno 2070 which was on sale in the Ubisoft sale which i posted days ago…

        • Yeah, the Ubisoft sale is insane and can make people overlook this stuff. I personally am loving the current Assassin's Creed Sale. I mean $2.98 for ACII? Darn right i'm going to buy it!

  • ($0.99 USD - Currently Free for 3 Days)

currently free to play for 3 days…. for anyone like me who spent 5 mins trying to work out how its 99c but free…. yea yea ok im a bit slow…

vid related, "the door is a jar", we pulled over and thought about that for 12 hours….

    • Okay, i'll change the title if you wish.

      • no need to do that like i said im just a bit slow and couldnt work out how it was 99c and free. wasnt till i opened up my steam i finally worked it out.

  • Hows the single player ?

    • -1

Enough to satisfy you for quite a few hours. But only if you're a FPS/TPS person. I personally like the TPS aspect of it.

    • Is there a single player campaign?!

      • You play offline on your own…. same maps, same modes.

  • How is the lag? Is it playable without having any (limited) local servers here?

    • Depends on your ISP. I get minimal lagg, but i'm with Telstra. So i'm not too sure.

  • Dat Metacritic review score though.
I expect it's been significantly updated since its scathing reception?

      From a Steam reviewer:

The Metacritic score is misleading. That was for Dino Beatdown, not for Horde.
The game has been changed a lot since the days of Beatdown. From the original 3, it has been updated to 10 different dinosaurs. 4 of which are playable in a game mode. Balancing patches, as well as optimization patches have been implemented and the game now runs like butter on my computer. There's a combonation of 50+ weapons and gear, customization of armor color and hats and other cosmetics. The Developers have been working their asses off making this game as fun as possible and it paid off.

So, what is this game like? Halo + Turok + Killing Floor

    • What Amar89 said is correct, it was due to the Metacritic review on Beatdown, which was well.. terrible. However it has been drastically changed. Please check online via google and other review sites using community reviews more. But really it's up to you.

  • nvm. :) Got a trade.

I played this the last time it had a free weekend (around last August). It was one of the worst games I've played in long time. At the time even free was too much.

  • Anybody playing this now?

    • Not now, but played it about 1 hour ago.

  • Was playing a survivor game with some guys, mostly had local players. It's super fun :) Had 42ms ping through out.

    • oh cool so u can local host?
