As I was browsing through Amazon, I came across this deal that seems to be extremely cheap. It is 90% off, and i'm quite sure i've seen this game at $5.00 USD even on sale before.

      I had mega low expectations for this game and so far Screw all the people who pick at every little thing. It is fun and i am gonna rate it a 100 just to offset all the scores it is getting. Like everyone says its a bit easy and its not scary enough just case there is too many lights. its a little easy so far so play on hard. BUT IT IS FUN it has satisfying physics and aliens popping with acid spraying. The campaign definitely brings me back into the classic movie and all the sounds are spot on. So far the multiplayer is surprisingly fun too, not quite as awesome as avp2 survivor mode but definitely comparable to left 4 dead 2. fun and crazy in its own way its just sad the online matches cant host more people. So yes i am glad i got it and if u like aliens half as much as i do i suggest you get it to.

        That review sold me.

        Aliens was one of the greatest action movies ever made.

        If we're going to cherry pick it'd be just as easy to choose a review saying it's an irredeemable POS (easier in fact, given the average score).

        By all means buy it and report back on your experience though ;)

          Agreed - I picked this game up when it was on sale last year. Didn't regret it. Bug hunt and co-op campaign was awesome - probably the closest to the Aliens movie experience as one can get. yeah there are bugs and glitches but overall it was a blast!

          Coop is soo much fun. I bought it from GMG purely because I wanted to see what all the hate was about. I was playing with two mates who both read reviews and expected the game to be pure crap. 6 hours into the game (playing on Ultimate Badass too) and they are still champing at the bit for more. It is great classic FPS perfect to speed run with mates. It becomes a competitive race to kill more than the other guys (and die less too) :)

          I imagine playing alone would be repetitive though.

          A classic style shooter for a classic movie. If it was made in the style of modern shooters I suspect all the reviews would complain how it "didn't keep to it's core Alien roots" or some such.

        I got the game for $2 last year. Fired it up recently and lasted maybe 25 minutes. Even after the 'patch' it is still horrendous. This coming from an Aliens fan and a gamer who can generally overlook bad reviews to enjoy average games if the price is right.

    Having played it, you'll be thankfully saying "Game over, man, game over!" when you've finished it. If you have the patience to finish it.

    The price tag is about right, but you won't get those hours back.

      Yes, it was released early January I believe. It fixed a lot of issues they had.

      You can't fix the AI issues without getting rid of the Derpy Alien 'stealth' segment entirely.

      $1.24 is for one of the many addon packs

      The game alone is $4.99. GMG have a 20% off code but it requires a 10$ min spend.
