  • no one going to comment on this?

seems like a great deal unless i am not getting something..

While they do sell for $200+, it's a bit of a wheeze since AusPCMarket sell them for $119 including delivery.

Including delivery nationwide, this is $106. Cheaper if you're in WA or, naturally, if you pick it up.

Apart from that not-quite-misleading $200+ statement, it's a good deal.

    • Re the "up to $200+" - it is one thing to have rep's posting deals here, but if they degenerate into just-another-sales-pitch ozbargain will have less value.

We already have enough advertising channels. Do we really need this place to become another one?

Netplus - more facts, less hyperbole please.

Computer Alliance (QLD) sells for $199
        Anypc (NSW) sells for $209
Scorpion Technology Computers (VIC) sells for $219

Netplus are doing a good deal for us Ozbargain's here, they could of just sold them at $109 and im sure they still would of sold them.
If you keep complaining and making stupid comments im sure NetPlus prob won't do another ozbargain exclusive and then we will have to pay the extra $20 or what ever the next discount will be.

          Like I said, it's a "not-quite-misleading" statement.

The point is, when looking at a deal we hear at ozbargain don't generally look for the most expensive places to compare it to. We look at the MSYs and the 9289s and the price-matched Officeworks deals.

It just gives a false impression, because no-one reading OzBargain would pay anywhere near $200 for it. Mentioning the $200 is a sales tactic which I, personally, don't like. It's put in there to make the deal look better than it actually is, which again, I don't like.

I'm not saying they can't do it. I'm not voting negative because of it. But I do feel the need to point out to punters it's a 10-30% saving, not a less-than-half-price bargain.

@[Deactivated]: Crikey. I did point out clearly that it does sell for $109 at a couple places. Anyhow - removed the $200 reference for you.

  • LOL! So many orders and you guys don't even bother to vote positive? :)

Guys, these are moving real quick!

Cheapest on statice is $109 so price of $89 is pretty good.
If i didn't already have one i would buy one for sure.

Its also good to see the a REP on this site actually giving us a decent bargain, exclusive to us.
Every other REP that posts on here is just random items from there catalog that they think is good value
without even checking the online price/or competitors prices.

    Well done NETPLUS

  • any1 knows whats e warranty like?

I've just ordered as it does seems to be a good deal.
I will be using it as an external USB monitor for Weather widgets and IM Chat monitors. Will be good addition to the HTPC since don't have to turn on the TV all the time if all I want is just a quick reference for the current weather.

  • Just tried to order one for store pickup and it said that the promotion code is invalid/expired?

    • +1

As the posting says, you've got to type in ozbargain, not just copy-paste it.

      Works fine for me.

      • Ah right, thanks

  • Can someone tell me what's the postage cost to Brisbane?

Ah don't worry, found out on the site.
For thoses that want to know: $5 for Perth metro area, $12 for West Australia Country and $19 Australia Wide, regardless of order size.

  • +1

Notice - these are very very nearly sold out. Some will miss out, as our order processing has a delay over the web orders.

So, if you are ordering later than this post, and if you are going to direct deposit, then please don't make payment until your order has been fully processed and confirmed.

  • I'd pickup a 10" version if they are ever on sale. Would be a great media player as well if it does do DIVX. Can it run on batteries so thats it portable?

    • +1

The 10" version is wide screen (not 4:3 as the 8"), it's fine for media player application in your case, but not suitable for people who want to use it as a picture frame since most photos are in 4:3, there will be black bars on the left and right unless the photos are pre-cropped.

      • Thanks for that info. Luckily most of my photos are taken in a wide format so should be ok.

  • +1

OK. Looks like all gone (as I'm keeping a couple myself). Offer Closed.
