Futurewood deck tiles + Weber Q 100

Hi guys,

I have a deck at home (http://www.futurewood.com.au/decking/deck-tiles) and wanted to know whether I should be worried about it if I had a BBQ on it with a Weber 100. Some meat or oil will occasionally drop on the deck tiles, but I shouldn't be worried about it if I clean it within the same day, right?

I don't have a Weber yet, but am considering buying it given that it is user friendly with my deck tiles.

Thanks again

Also, how often do you clean your decking, or Futurewood deck if you have one. And how?

  • We brought a cheap BBQ mat from bunnings and simply put it down and roll the weber onto it and put it away when done, it adds 20secs to the routine, we have never had any issue

  • Hi allandiep~ Sorry, but you're wrong about a 'simple' cleanup. Any oil spills or splatters won't easily be removed as will be absorbed into the timber grain (& won't even accept a new coat of woodstain well).
Follow Simo82's advice or put down some heavy clear plastic (from Spotlight, etc.)each time you BBQ
