Combined USB 3.0 Hub and Multi Card Reader (Including CF) $29.95 Incl Postage @ Mushtato

110

This is the cheapest I could find for a powered combined USB 3.0 Hub with built in multi-card reader with support for most card types including CF cards. Based in Sydney and local postage. Have not bought from them before but have ordered one.

BTW - Price is more than $40 incl postage on Mushtato ebay listing for the same item.

are you illiterate or intellectually disabled? no one said anything about made in australia

        • Not powered

Neither is the one that you linked to in the OP

          and not top loading

That is a non problem, truly. Many people (like me) would see that as a definite disadvantage (but it would be great if the Card Reader was top loading)..

BTW - Price is more than $40 incl postage on Mushtato ebay listing for the same item.

Your OP is for the Mushtato ebay listing, so that comment makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

        • Yes it is powered includes PSU. Micro SD reader part can work without external power.

Top loading much easier for single hand operation.

Just pointing out that it is likely a new deal not yet updated in ebay store

        • OP - direct website link not ebay

    • Not top loading USB either.

Imo, the Yum-Cha branded USB hubs aren't worth the $2 dollars the workers were paid to make them. They use el-cheapo chipsets that move files at 4.7kB/s and randomly disconnect devices when all the ports are in use.

Better off with something like this, this or this if the hub is going to be next your desktop PC or at your office desk permanently.

These generic ones are suitable for file transfers in a pinch when you're moving a picture or two onto a laptop or something but if you care at all about file transfer speeds (otherwise why would you buy USB 3.0 devices), spend a little more.

Very interested in your proof that the hub/card reader above transfers files at 4.7kB/s

Otherwise it would be easy for us to call "bulldust" on your story.

    • I believe Anker and Dlink have similar factory making their products. Please research more in OEM industry if you're interested.

  • come someone recommend a good USB3 hub? All the popular ones on amazon dont ship to Aust

  • Arrived - 36 hours post order (1 working day - as ordered at night)

    Working well

The blue indicator light - BRIGHT

  • Received mine today, tested it. Read and wright speeds for Patriot Extreme USB 2 and Class 10 SD card are the same as being inserted directly into my 2013 iMac.

    • Thanks, hope you like the product :)

      • That blue light is a little too bright. I bit of tape to dull it down might have to be placed. Otherwise it should do.
