Titanfall PC $59.98 +$4.95 Postage at DickSmith

150

Hi Guys,

Just found this awesome deal at Dicksmith. Titanfall on PC for $59.98.

It is the cheapest I've seen around compared to Target $74, Big W $78 and Jb hifi $79 in terms of buying the key with CDs (saves you from downloading if you have slow net).

Very nice price!! I'd recommend you guys just to buy the disc and install it! It'll save you 50gb of data. But those who're on cable, you download this game in 15 mins.

What? Unless that box contains a blu-ray (which would be silly given how few people have blu-ray drives on their PCs) there is no 50 GB game on the disc.

Most likely there's a link to download it on there and not much else.

      • Yep scottg87 is right, 20gb for the game and 30gb is reserved for future updates and patches.

Or you could always download the game from origin. Your choice really :)

The download is actually 20GB. It expands out to 50GB after installation.

"with CDs", so 72 cds or 12 dvd discs? :>

I'm guessing a Blu-ray drive might be required?

    • System requirements doesnt show Blu-ray drive as one of them but I may be wrong.

At the bottom of the page it shows the system requirements tab.

  • plus postage.. as only home delivery.

    • I'm sure you can go to JB Hifi and get them to price match it disregarding the postage fee.

I think its only 3-4 disc that comes with it. They use dual layered dvd discs nowadays.

  • +2

Commercial DVDs can have capacities from 1.5GB all the way up to 15GB depending on number of sides and layers used. Therefore, with a compressed data size of 20GB and an assumption that they use a standard 9GB disc, it would be three DVD discs at most.

  • Nice price

  • This may be of interest to you - $57.40 delivered http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Titanfall-PC-Game-BRAND-NEW-SEALE…

    • Hmmmm…

Spend $59.98 and get it on launch day, or save $2.58 and possibly get it delivered next week.

I think Dickies have my money :-)

Have you missed the part that it's only available for home delivery? So need to add $4.95 to the price, and also hope Dick Smith actually post it within the next year or so.

Although, ordering from DS's EBay store always seems to be much better with regards to quick postage and communication (also normally free postage too). Dunno if this offer is available on their eBay store.

        • I didn't miss anything.

Contacted Dick Smith on phone and they said it will be that price in store tomorrow.

Should have mentioned that part, sorry.

        • Might have been handy ;-)

The OP should be updated as well then to show it's available in store as well. The link for the post only says that price is available for home delivery, not even click and collect.

        • Yeah, I've got no idea why they did it that way.

Just glad I can buy it tomorrow for the same price instore.

  • opps - dupe.
