LG G2 32GB Unlocked $510 at JB Hi-Fi

210

I bought this phone on Sunday 16th. Sorry for the late post tho.

Yes this is not the marked price tho the sale ($566) still continues I think until 24th of March.

Thanks to Ozbargainer "ironpaw" for the tip. I called Rouse Hill JB and negotiated the price over-the-phone.

So I thought of posting the receipt if anyone wants a proof of purchase to negotiate.

*** Yes it comes with bonus window cover as well.

I think this belongs to the forums. Although it is a good price.

As the ozbargain policies don't recognize "negotiated" prices as being a bargain especially with JB Hi-Fi.

I remember shopping for a LG G Pad which was retailing for $399, I went to around 4 jb stores all of them refused to go below $380. Then finally found 1 store which agreed to go down to $329 with free antivirus (which was worth $29).

    • You might be right.

But all I did was just called the store and asked if they can give it for $510, without any hesitation the lady who answered the phone said yes.

With the purchased receipt as a proof, wouldn't the other stores match the price?

    • Receipts are fine I think because they can be price matched.

      • JB don't price match receipts. Many people have tried and now the in-store reps even say they don't.

        • Take the receipt to dse or office works etc to get matched. :)

        • OW doesn't price match receipts UNLESS it is the ORIGINAL receipt.

If you try to use a photo or a photocopied receipt they will use the excuse of "it could be photoshopped therefore cannot be trusted".

Glad I could help. It was BayBean which original told me Rouse Hill price matched DSE's expired deal on the G2.

But like others said, it'll probably be hit and miss depending on the store…

    • Yes I tried JB Hornsby and they only reduced to $545, still better than buying online I guess.

Nexus 5 v LG G2? Which one is better?

The only negative point of G2 when compared to N5 is that N5 got KitKat.

There are many plus points for G2 such as Bigger battery, screen size, IR blaster…etc

      • I'm pretty sure The G2 has KitKat too?

    • Good question.. Confusing me as well since long time

Awesome, pricematched in south wharf jb hifi but the elizabeth st didnt want to budge, lowest hed go was 550..thanks OP and good work..

    • You are welcome, glad I could help :)

  • Not available in WA unfortunately.

  • Thank you for sharing. Price matched at JB-HF Strand Arcade store in Sydney 2000. I called this store before I went there, they say they couldn't match it. (Tried a few DS stores, but they wouldn't budge either) I guess it's not convincing when you say you have a receipt to match over the phone. But once I went in person and showed a staff the receipt, they agreed instantaneously to match it. Keep trying!

    • Hi ramen, do you mind posting your receipt as well? I'm thinking it will be easier for me to haggle if i got 2 receipts as proof.

      Thanks

        • Wow, even better. Great price.

        • hi deal spider, you said you got a bonus window cover as well. does that comes together with the phone standard packaging or it's something extra jb hifi threw in for you free?

  • Thanks for posting the receipt. I was able to pick one up at Castle Hill JB an hour ago for $510. Comes with the VOIA case which is nice.
