$100 Coles Gift Card via Wyndham Vacation Resorts (Pinchme)

Hi all,

Just got a sample from Pinchme and opted into the weekly/monthly competition for something. Afterwards there are some other "offers."

The one I am enquiring about is a $100 Coles gift card via Wyndham Vacation Resorts.

Well, apart from the December 2013 expiry, any thoughts on this? It sounds tempting to check it out. All I can gather is you listen for 1.5 hours and get a $100 gift card?

    hard sell of timeshare arrangements.
    not worth the $100 IMHO.

  • I went through this before.

if you have the time, go for it. they will try very hard to convince you that its the best decision in your life and its really silly of you to reject. Put it this way, an untaxed $100 for 2 hours of easy work.

  • Just tell them you buy five or six weeks from eBay at $40 a night and/or that you have a friend that belongs to a timeshare and you are able to buy excess weeks at $99 a week. That's wwhat I did and they basically ended it right there saying it wasn't for me. In a nice way. They realized I wouldn't be buying. If you convince them you can get very cheap holidays some other way, I think they really don't have any comeback, whereas if you give some other excuse they may launch into persuasion mode. I was out in about forty minutes.

  • Wyndham Estate is the winery.
Wyndham vacation resort is the holiday place.

3 years ago I stayed at one of the resorts with my parents- thanks to borrowing my father-in-laws membership. both my parents and I did the sales pitch seperately. we both got $100 giftcards. not too shabby.

    • Wyndham Estate is the winery.

I think my word association issues are playing up again haha.

      • too much booze?

        • It's funny, I rarely drink alcohol.

        • but when you do…. :p

  • Got multiple calls from them too to attend their sessions for 1.5hrs. Not sure if they were legit so I turned them down. Tempting though, for the $100 Coles gift card

    • do it. $100 for 1.5hours = $66 per hour.

      • Probably depends on the location as well.

        • They have a place at surry hills so it's not too far. Will. Give them a shot next time. Just need an excuse to turn down their time share offer now

  • We stayed at Ramada Resort Port Douglas under one of their deals.
I knew it was all about hard sell timeshare as I used to do them in Florida (& I already own at 4 places anyway).

I was disappointed with the quality at the resort, particularly when I was told how much to buy into the place! I already own better and I only paid US$14 for one of them!

But, if you can pin the speil down to 90 minutes (or less) go for it, but don't get taken in by them.

Wyndham has really ramped things up, sales wise, since they bought RCI (exchange company).
