Newspaper Rebel deal deducted money

I'm not sure if I have missed any other warning, but surely did sneak up on me. Deducted $18 this morning.

    the whole deal post was full of warnings about cancelling your subscription. you only have yourself to blame

    same boat here
    I had put a reminder on monday to cancel
    also, the welcome email said renews every 4 weeks, but nothing about starting on the third

    Anyway, I just canceled the renewal thing on paypal but wont follow any further,
    hard to prove "but, but, I was about to cancel tomorrow"

      That would lead me to believe that if paid for your sub on the 1st, then the next payment would be the 28th?

      Either way, if they provide a prorata refund then cancelling now should still mean that you'll get the full amount back (as you still have a week left on the initial sub)

    Lol with all the forgotten cancell subscriptions I doubt even if all the $40gc was honoured they'll lose money. We've been all the suckers in this "deal"

      I doubt too. They can get lots of advertising dollars for their impressive subscriber numbers, even if only temporary.

    As I understand it, if you cancel now, they will refund you pro-rata what you haven't used from your subscription. In effect, you have paid for an additional month's subscription, in advance by a week or so. If you cancel now, (takes up to 5 days to process I read somewhere…) you should be refunded the balance, which should be the full amount for the next month.

      I would also like to know this, as it seemed a no catch type deal, yet they seem to have stooged us all.

      I know it was one of those "too good to be true" deals.. but it should realistically still be honoured.

        I got that yesterday too, after the fact that I cancelled the whole thing and got my money back
