Bunnings are $65 single day or $165 for 3 days. 100km per day inclusion.

    • +1

Yes you are correct $165.00 for 3 days without insurance. excess reduction $20.00 per day plus $10.00/day for windscreen insurance. =$30.00/day

so in total you are paying 165.00 plus $90.00 which equals to $255.00.

      • Your offer doesn't say that the reduced excess applies. Your standard excess is $3000 with a reduced excess of $1500. Handy Rentals is $2500 and $750. They still win.

Where does your offer say it includes the windscreen and tyre insurance with no excess? I couldn't even see any mention of this on the website.

Also your insurance on the website says this: "Please note insurance will not cover any overhead or under carriage, sides and reversing damage." Ie. The insurance is rubbish and leaves the person uncovered in quite a few ways.

        • For your information stewy, Our insurance policy covers windscreen and tyre protection We dont have 2 seperate policies like the rest.

Also Stewy Please note insurance will not cover any overhead or under carriage, sides and reversing damage. (full excess must be paid). or if in a single vehicle accident they all have this, read the rests insurance carefully before commenting. thanks

        • Full excess or full amount of the cost of the damages caused? Because the wording on the website implies the latter…

  • +1

ya mate with a ute who'll help you out for a slab. slab.

  • The important bit… should always be on the front page & first line of anything to do with vehicle rental…

    A waiver = $0.
Your $20 per day fee equates to reducing the excess to 50%, That is not a waiver?

    Insurance

Costless Hire provides all its customers with an option to insure the vehicles with or without an excess reduction waiver. You may choose to pay the optional excess reduction waiver of $20 per day/per hire prior to commencement of hire, this will reduce the excess to $1500 from the standard excess of $3000. For drivers over 25 years old.

In the event of a single vehicle incident/damage the standard excess is $3000, regardless of the waiver Please note insurance will not cover any overhead or under carriage, sides and reversing damage.

Standard excess – of $3000 applies to all hired vehicles from Costless Hire. The vehicle is hired to you subject to the terms and conditions on the hire agreement. From the time of hire, the hirer and the authorised driver on the hire agreement take financial responsibility for the vehicle hired, there is a standard collision damage liability of $3000 with the above rates in an accident with another vehicle, excess is payable in full immediately, irrespective of cause, regardless of fault. Unauthorised drivers will not be covered by insurance.

  • It is a reduction Waiver!! Reduces by 50%

  • waiver (ˈweɪvə)
    n
    1. (Law) the voluntary relinquishment, expressly or by implication, of some claim or right
    2. (Law) the act or an instance of relinquishing a claim or right
    3. (Law) a formal statement in writing of such relinquishment

    • You aren't relinquishing your right to charge an excess, you are only reducing the amount of excess.

Although I must say it does seem you just blatantly copied Handy Rentals page as they too misuse this term…

  • stewy do some RESEARCH and get some education!!

    • Nice one buddy, is that the best you can come back with?

Here's a thought, come back only when you have a real bargain for us. (In the meantime have a read of the big boys websites and see how they dont flog their excess reduction as being a waiver)

      Oh and:

Paying only the quoted price, with no hidden extras, CostLess provide the first 100 kilometres per day for free.

Paying only the quoted price, with no hidden extras, Handy Rentals provide the first 100 kilometres per day for free

      So who copied who??

  • You have alot of time on your hands. Tell me something do you even want to hire a ute? or you are just one of those critics posting comments on everyones add???? another thing go and hire a ute from the "big boys" and see what you will really pay have a look at all the hidden extras they charge.
