        It seems to be some broden-esque in-joke that started ages ago. It is literally mentioned in every Beef Jerky deal that comes up on the search results.

    Just to clarify is the spice enough to make 2kg of jerky/biltong or is it 2kg of spice?

    you can just use an oven. I haven't personally done it, but a friend of mine does it and his jerky tastes great (wow that sounds weird when written out..)
