Just wondering if there are any cheap ways to get from Brisbane to Dallas/Somewhere in the south? I know flying to NYC & West coast there are Hong Kong & China options but I was looking at getting to the South on an open ticket. Qantas haven't had any major sales to Dallas lately so I was wondering on the chances of there being alternative options.

Probably the cheapest way is to fly oneway on Jetstar to Hawaii then pick up a oneway domestic flight to Dallas.
Oneway tickets on many full service airlines are almost the same as return tickets.
If you have FF points then these could be used. As they can be redeemed for one way.
