Adjustable stand. The longer you spend in front of your monitor, the more important it is to have it at the correct height and angle. This ergonomically designed "HAS" stand enables you to adjust the height, pivot, swivel and tilt of the monitor to make sure it is in the most comfortable position. although that said this is a good monitor: id also have a look at the acer on 9289
http://store.9289.com.au/index.php?main_page=featured_produc…

slightly bigger but is an acer, no where near as good as samsung…IMO and you have to fiddle round with cashback. although the acer is 1080P where as the samsung is 1050.

You say this is the "new" mode 2243BW"+". After I google this, all i get is asian websites. Im assuming the 2243 and 2243+ are the same, except the "+" model is for the asian market? If this is the case staticice has 2243BW for the same price.

Both the 24" Acer and 22" Samsung have TN panels, so really- do you want 24" (acer)? or a smaller screen but samsung brand.

AFAIK, it's a different SKU, for Australian market that hasn't been released anywhere else as of yet.

2433BW is being phased out, replaced by this.

          The difference is 20000:1 > 50000:1.

That's all the information I have to run on, from the supplier.

Regarding Samsung VS Acer for LCD, I think for office and repetitive usage I would go with the Samsung. Adjustable stand and the onsite warranty make things pretty hassle free.

I imagine the other (good deal) quoted on the Acer 24" would interest a different market, and has merits of its own.

I don't believe these two cases are apples vs apples.

        • Or you can get the BenQ G2410HD 24"er for $253 from MSY and not have to bother with the cashback.

          • @[Deactivated]: yeah but for someone wanting to spend very close to 200 or with limited space (not that the extra 2" will probably make a difference) or someone out in the bush who couldn't get to MSY…

I think each bargain has its own audience. though personally i like the idea of having 1080P HDMI like my 24" acer. will be nice for a blue ray screen for the bedroom.

yeah i put that on the bottom of the post already… both are pretty good bargains (didnt make more of a deal as i already saw it on the main bargain screen) thanks for providing the ozbargain link… each to there own though i guess. its pretty close for me. Samsung is a good brand acer has a few returns so a sales man once told me(cause they are reliable!).

also the three year warrantee provided by samsung is pretty good reassurance.

      Such as ??????
No use giving a negative vote based on your feelings, if you want to give a -ve then back it up with something. What's more, I think the raving about this brand (& the 3 yr warranty) is valid, it's a bargain.

    • but what are the stats on the 22s for under 200….

209+14.95 postage is a really good deal too. you need to compare apples to apples.

      None at MSY!
