PlayStation Plus Membership

I recently purchased a Playstation Plus membership for one year, so I have a question about the games downloaded, once my membership is over and if I dont renew it next year: What will happen to the game which I purchased, but with the discounted price ? (For example, a game which is costing $39.99 is $19.99 for Plus members)

Also, What happens to the games I downloaded as Free game of the month ? (I assume all "Free" games downloaded as Plus member would not be accessed after the membership expiry)

If anyone has experience, can you advise ?

You can keep the games you purchased at the discounted price. Free games are locked until you renew your membership

  • The only downside for the PS plus is the games get locked once the membership is expired, so free games is sort of renting games. But again you get to buy games on the PS plus discounted price.

  • Yeah as above, basically anything you have to pay any extra $ for is yours to keep regardless of subscription status.

my understanding is that if your membership lapses you lose the history of your downloads… So dont let it lapse if you want to go back to something.

      Your understanding is totally wrong.

These questions have been asked so many times now.

  • There you go…

    Old post from the blog:

Q: What happens to the games I downloaded from the Instant Game Collection if I decide to not renew my membership?

A: You will not be able to access free games downloaded with Plus if you choose not to renew your membership. However, if you decide to re-activate your membership, you will once again be able to play all games downloaded from the Instant Game Collection.

So in what part does it say you will lose your history of downloads? Either way, you're wrong. I've been a member since day one, I've let it lapse twice for a few days at a time and then resubbed and played the old games again.

No need to be combative bro…

The reason for my post was to acknowledge that i was incorrect, along with supporting evidence to prove that i was.

Not being combative bro, it's called being factual. Your last post was worded in a defiant manor. Don't be defiant bro.

Defiant? Which part? I concede that the 3 periods might be misconstrued but hardly defiant. Its funny what punctuation can do.

Anywho i appreciate your activity on the site (managed to get super mario 3D world cause of your post)

        • Apologies if I come across angsty. Lack of sleep.

        • Combative Bro and Defiant Bro. That sounds like a hardcore Mario Brother Clone

          Id play that game :-)

I think your what you are trying to say is "We are all bro's, bro"
