ASOS- Extra 20% off All Sale Items

This post contains affiliate links. OzBargain might earn commissions when you click through and make purchases. Please see this page for more information.

Not sure how many hipsters frequent OZBargain, but 20% off the sale prices is a pretty good deal. (Free international delivery always on ASOS).

Also, change prices to £GBP (in the top right hand corner) and then let Paypal, or whatever service you're using to pay with, convert it to AUD to save that extra little bit (probably around 5-7%).

Copied and pasted their t&c's from the email:
*Enter promo code YES20 at checkout to receive 20% extra off sale items. Valid from 16:00 AEST on 08.04.2014 until 17:00 AEST on 14.04.2014. Valid for one transaction only per customer up to a maximum of $950 before discount is applied. Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional codes. Some exclusions may apply, not valid on gift vouchers, optional delivery charges, ASOS Marketplace or ASOS premier subscriptions.

or pay with your 28deg card in pound

    • Oooh thanks so much for that tip! Just put in an order worth $70 AUD but then recalculated and if I'd paid in pounds with my 28 deg card it would have been $65.26.
      Thanks so much :)

  • Ugh I'm terrible with these things sometimes. Where do I enter the code?

I'm logged in and looking at my 'bag' and I have the option to Pay Securely Now, among other things but I can't see where I can enter in the code. If I click Pay Securely Now it seems to take me down the path of actually paying without any sign of where to enter the code

It's at the very end of the check out, right before you click place order.

I must be a hipster because there is some freaking nice looking clothes on this site at some freaking nice looking prices

      • +2

+1 especially the stuff modeled by the hipster lol!

      • So many articles of clothes there I look at and think, gezz, people really wear this stuff? And can afford it? Its both ugly in looks and price to me lol, i must not be a hipster, and this must not be ozbargain is what I'm thinking.

      – Insert witty "it's GBP not GDP" joke that I am too tired to think of right now here –

Just picked up this sweater for $12.45 (down from $54.50)

I recommend you try out the Size Visualiser if you haven't already.

A very well put together piece of software which takes you though measuring an article of clothing which you know fits (because you own it) and then superimposing that on the item you are interested in. Very cool.

    • Good style man, I nabbed that too. In general are UK sizing and US sizing roughly similar?

Any other good frugal stylish stuff similar to the sweater?

      • +2

I find ASOS sizes are usually smaller than what you'd get normally (especially the ASOS branded ones).

But their pants' sizes are a bit funky; I'm a 31-32" normally, but for ASOS, 32 is a bit too big, and 30 is a good fit (maybe even with a little room extra too). Though this was about 1-2 years ago, not sure if they've changed anything from then to now.

    • Man it looks so soft and warm. And for a relatively low price. So far while browsing I found one item(a parka) I like and that's $116.68 before the 20%. Which is a bit much.

      This is 100% acrylic BTW.

  • The pound works for some items only, remember to do a cross reference check to AUD!

Not sure how accurate the rrp stated is but I just grabbed a Belfield jacket that would've been $136 AUD for $34 AUD. The GBP trick is awesome, thank you :)

Poached some nice waffle knit stuff due to the cold creeping in early this year :D.
    Thanks for the GBP tip.

      GBP Worked out ok.
      In AUD $101.12
      GBP via Paypal converstaion $97

A celebratory coffee of $4.12 or less is in order.

    • where have you been its hot as fk in brisbane

  • Most of their woolen blend mens jumpers are sold out unfortunately. Here's an interestingly patterned Mens Blazer Coat that's 70% wool, for the Upper Middle Class White Collar types out there. http://www.asos.com/au/United-Colors-of-Benetton/United-Colo…
With the discounts and paying in GBP you are getting it for one third the AU $ RRP.

  • Thanks for the heads up.

  • seems the code is already expired earlier than 14.04.2014? now it's showing *Enter promo code GIMME15 at checkout to receive 15% extra off sale items. Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional codes. Some exclusions may apply, not valid on gift vouchers, optional delivery charges, ASOS Marketplace or ASOS premier subscriptions. Now, if only they could trim their shiping times by 20%. In my experience, two weeks to send a pencil case from Australia to… Australia, is unacceptable.
