Cheap SSD for old 2008 Macbook pro

I'm new to all this SSD business…but i'm keen to install one in our old macbook pro (pre-unibody) to give it new life.
It works perfectly (pretty much every part including the entire logic board was replaced under Apple Care, so the machine is technically only 1-2 years old), but it is getting quite sluggish in terms of boot up times, loading software, etc.

I don't need anything too fancy, so I was wondering which SSD people would recommend for this basic setup?
From what I gather, a lot of people recommend the Samsung EVO for reliability, but the m500 250gb for $140ish sounds extremely tempting price-wise.
Otherwise, I was possibly thinking the 120gb EVO for $95.

(I'm assuming most of these SSDs will fit without any issues?!)
