Best travel cash out card now that citizens charges

Since March citibank now charges international atm fees.

I will be travelling Europe and Canada through September and October this year and would appreciate the advice on what the best options that remain.

Currently I am with ING and have an everyday commonwealth account.

Thanks for the advice,
Matt

  • I'm travelling on a cruise to South Pacific, thinking I need to jump on board with one of these cards. I believe I saw a 2% surcharge for using credit, so may go for a debit.. Any recommendations?

  • did they change the no atm fee policy?

sigh, I just applied for it in Feb when it still said fee atm. what are the charges?

Check your own link… Effective March 2014.

      There is a 2.5% international transaction fee…

I think you better check that link more carefully before you get negged into oblivion.

I think OP is confusing citibank with the 28 degrees card. 28 degrees recently changed their policy to no longer offer free overseas atm withdrawals.

  • US/Canada should be fairly Credit Card friendly, so use an International fee free Credit Card for the majority of purchases and make a minimal number of withdrawals of cash using your ING Card which only charges $2.50 per ATM withdrawal overseas.
